I'll just say, I liked bits of this book, love a few more bits of this book, but I was kind of sad thinking, "Oh no, this one will get from me 3 stars?". Then the ending that was not a ending happened. I checked my kindle, I checked audible...something was wrong? An extra chapter or 2 missing? No. It ended. Like that.Is obvious Beep will have her book or books. Thats great for this author and hope she can write a 100 more! And I know I'll buy them.I'll just wait in the sidelines for the opinion of readers I've come to trust outside my group once Beep's book/s are done before I read. Because the disappointment is big and real and it hurts. No only because I didn't find it satisfying at all, also because I know my opinion is going to, at the very least, annoy others. I admire Darynda, she is one of those authors that always engage with fans and is very talented. And the fans of this series are amazing people and I wanted to cheer and celebrate with them. Not be the lonely fan with a sad expression. Envious of how they reacted to this book.Also, sucks to be that fan that instead of swallowing her negative opinion and discuss it in some private place, need to share it.

Wow! I have no clue how to begin to write this review!! Iâ€™ve been a diehard Charley Davidson (and Darynda) fan for many years, and itâ€™s extremely bittersweet that it has now come to an end. In all honesty, I have mixed feelings about book 13.While it had all the feels, the Charley-isms, and the sexiness weâ€™ve all grown to love, it fell a bit flat for me. There were times it felt like the story would jump randomly to a different plot, confusing me. A lot happens in this story, so you definitely need to pay attention, otherwise you could get confused easily. Also, the big buildup for the big fight, it ended a bit quickly for my liking.Now the ending? I hated it. Itâ€™s not what I would have wanted for them, and it was basically a cliffhanger, or more accurately, a setup for Beepâ€™s spinoff series.All in all, this wasnâ€™t what I expected or hoped for for the ending of an amazing series. Did I enjoy it still? Yes. But I didnâ€™t love it as I have all the previous books. And I hate that the most. I truly wanted to love this book, but I just didnâ€™t.Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. This is my honest review.

This is it. The conclusion to the Charley Davidson series. I thought I was ready for this book, but boy was I wrong. I was prepared for anything, and made sure to keep tissues close by, because I knew I would need them. This review will contain spoilers if you haven't read the previous books in the series. So think twice before you continue reading. If you read the previous book, you know Charley did the one thing she was explicitly told not to, which resulted in her paying the price: being kicked off the earthly plain for eternity. But of course she makes it back to earth because there is a battle to be fought. This book was action-packed, mysterious, hilarious, emotional and amazing. Summoned to Thirteenth Grave was perfect.It was also very emotional for me, because I spent more than six years hanging out with Charley and her tribe. Six years of going on crazy adventures, laughing and crying with them. Each and every character in this book has a special place in my heart. Darynda Jones, like in her previous books, found a way to add twists and turns to the story. There were still so many secrets to be revealed, and some of them shocked the hell out of me. Don't expect this book to only focus on the battle, if you know Charley, she can multitask like no other. She won't leave any case unsolved, and I loved that the author included them into the story. I am also happy that we got to see every character again. I am going to miss them so much, and they will hold a special place in my heart forever. It will take some time for me to get over this series. The only upside to the conclusion of this book is that there will be a spin-off focusing on Charley and Reyes daughter Beep.

Tolkien and the Brothers Grimm. When not busy working at Kiz Toys or on personal commissions, she spends her free time taking photos, listening to music and traveling. One of few books in my vast collection of "How To", "Manga School", " Manga Mania" ect books that deserve 5 stars.Firstly, I'd like to say this book doesn't exactly cater to people new to the art of drawing manga. If you want to learn how to draw manga from the basics look into other sources (Not as if this book advertised itself as such, but I don't want people thinking because it says "Create Your Own Cool Characters" you can have no drawing experience and be able to achieve what this artist does.) While this book went farther in depth than I would have ever thought from the title and Amazon preview, all of the pictures the author is showing us how to color are already drawn line arts. There is a section where they teach you how to draw heads, go into perspective and give you poses, but if you're new it's not enough to get you going to full, detailed line arts. Basically, you don't learn how to draw the line arts in this book, you learn how to color them. Just putting that out there.That said, I highly recommend this book if you want to familiarize yourself with Copics/Neopiko/Prismacolor markers(Cheaper brands will not work effectively if you're trying to color as shown in the book). Actually, this book is a absolute must when buying your first set of Copics. I believe there are tips in this book that you will not find elsewhere. And for each picture the author is showing us how to color she lists all tools needed and colors by Copic number so you can use exactly what she uses. Other reviewers went into detail about what else this book shows you so I won't repeat.If you don't use markers I recommend this book anyway as inspiration. There is very beautiful art to be seen in this book. Just looking through it made me want to better myself as an artist.

Okay, so since most people have already talked about the quality of the instructions and how much thought and detail was put into the book, I won't review that aspect of the book for the most part (although don't get me wrong, it really does cover a wide range of things, not only how to color and tell stories with color).For one, I don't know if someone already said this or not, but Supittha starts with a chart of materials that you'll need, okay, they have that in a lot of art books. But then she includes a color chart of Copic Markers, the differences between Copics and other markers, and she even says what the difference is between, say, Ciao Copics and Sketch Copics, and she even says what KIND of Copics she is using so if you want to start coloring with Copics, you can see what kind she uses for you to try and/or start out with. She also gives some very nice techniques, like how to achieve a bubbly effect with a Colorless Blender Marker, etc. etc. And then she actually gives instructions for drawing heads, adding hair, coloring it... But the awesome thing is about this section is that you can use the head & hair tutorials to draw not only manga but a MANGA-LIKE REALISTIC picture (By drawing eyes, nose, face shape, etc. like she instructs you to, with more detail or whatever and some slight alterations). So not only has her art book help improve my manga, but she's helped with my realistic drawings as well!! She also teaches you about lighting--now I'm sure you're skeptical about what she gives here since most art books demonstrate lighting with a sphere and then move on. However, she doesn't stop there--she even tells you how to do reflected light (not step-by-step, just with a before and after, although this is still VERY helpful). This ALSO helps with both manga and realistic pictures! Also something that really pleases me: she doesn't just show how to color in normal skin tones like pale, Asian, etc but she gives a step by step on how to color in dark gray skin for Dark Elves. I have never seen instructions for anything dark elf-related EVER, so seeing a skin coloring tutorial for one made me so happy!! She also gives some ideas for fantasy themed outfits, eg Mage outfits, kimonos, etc. not too huge a section really although parents shouldn't have to worry as the outfits are better than many of the outfits you'll even see at just the beach or swimming pool. If you have any doubts about buying this book, then you really shouldn't--this is a great art book and I highly recommend it, although those looking for a more anime-like manga art book may be slightly more disappointed, I love the art style so I'm happy :3 In fact, this isn't even a book for just those coloring with markers, this works for colored pencils too (I use both art medias) and it probably would work for other art medias too but I don't really know. I got this book for the Kindle so I can't review the quality of the actual book, although I will say that the thing about having the book on the Kindle is that sometimes the pictures and steps/ notes/instructions don't match up, but it's only to be expected so oh well. I'd rate this 9/10 stars overall

About the Author

Jim Halderman brings a world of experience, knowledge, and talent to his work. His automotive service experience includes working as a flat-rate technician, a business owner, and a professor of automotive technology at a leading U.S. community college for more than 20 years.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Northern University and a Master’s degree in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Jim also holds a U.S. Patent for an electronic transmission control device. He is an ASE certified Master Automotive Technician and is also Advanced Engine Performance (L1) ASE certified. Jim is the author of many automotive textbooks, all published by Pearson Education.

Jim has presented numerous technical seminars to national audiences, including the California Automotive Teachers (CAT) and the Illinois College Automotive Instructor Association (ICAIA). He is also a member and presenter at the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT). Jim was also named Regional Teacher of the Year by General Motors Corporation and outstanding alumni of Ohio Northern University.

Julius Panero, AIA, ASID, is a practicing architect, interior designer, and an associate professor of interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. He has taught interior design for the last twenty years and was the former chairperson of the Interior Design department at FIT. A graduate of Pratt Institute, where he received a bachelor of architecture's degree, and Columbia University, where he received a master of science degree in urban planning, Panero is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Interior Designers, and a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, London. Licensed to practice architecture in New York, Panero is a principal in the consulting firm of Panero Zelnik Associates, Architects/Interior Designers. He is also the author of Anatomy for Interior Designers and a contributing author to Time-Saver Standards. Martin Zelnik, AIA, ASID, NCARB, is a practicing architect, interior designer, and an assistant professor of interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where he has taught interior design for the last ten years. A graduate of Brandeis University, where he received a bachelor of fine arts degree, and Columbia University, where he earned a master of architecture degree, Zelnik is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the New York Society of Architects, the Interior Design Educators Council, and the American Society of Interior Designers. In examining the relationship between human dimension and dining spaces, the areas of most concern to the designer are the clearances around the table and the number of people a table of a particular size can accommodate. The clearance between the edge of the table and the wall or any other physical obstruction must at the very least accommodate two elements: (1) the space occupied by the chair and (2) the maximum body breadth of a person of a larger body size as he circulates between the chair an the wall. In dealing with the space occupied by the chair, it should be noted that its position, relative to the edge of the table, will change several times during the course of a meal. Towards the end of a meal, perhaps while the person is engaged in informal conversation or in an effort to change body posture, the chair may be extended farther from the table. As a person leaves the table, the chair may be located even farther away. Comfortable clearance should assume the chair to be at its farthest distance from the table.

This book is simply awesome for people designing both furniture and buildings. Even though it does not give you details for all possible situations, it is a very well set up book that is simple to use.I give it a star less for the sloppy conversions into metric. (I would rather be interested in rounded up figures than in the exact measurements).All by all more than worth its money
